Happy 30th Birthday, Andy Peterson!
I had a feeling this day was coming–I knew that the virile and muscular Andy P (father of the famed Peterson Girls) had to be approaching the big 3-0.
Sadly, there’ll be no big birthday bash for the brawny bud of Belleville, MI. Ol’ Andy was too, shall we say, modest (heh heh) to desire such fare.
His wife Alyson responded with great wrath and disdain–er, no that’s not right–great humility and submissiveness to her head and master’s request, so there’ll be no party.
Since the farmhands couldn’t have attended such a grand gala anyway, we thought we’d do our part to encourage Andy that 30 isn’t the end of the world and it’s really not that old.
Is 30 really that old? Well, it obviously depends on your perspective. Yesterday one of my kids–while reflecting upon this solemn occasion–remarked,
“Wow–he doesn’t look that old”

Ice-Cream!
We had an ice-cream social at our house after evening church service tonight. The temperature was quite cool (around 60), as our bundled up folks demonstrate!
The photo of Lydia is a demonstration of her practice of going around and getting samples of everyone’s stuff!

Workin’ Hard Today
A group from church helped some of the Carlson’s friends split and stack about three cords worth of wood today. We had beautiful weather, wonderful fellowship, and lots of food!

Wrapping Up GR
While in Grand Rapids we took the kids to the Children’s Museum.
Josiah, Savannah (their cousin), and Lydia have fun sliding into a box full of balls. Josiah and Savannah have penguin costumes on.
