The Great Geauga County Fair

Last week we went to The Great Geauga County Fair, Ohio’s oldest.

We saw plenty of animals of all sorts (the cow, friends, not the boys! 🙂 )

Ever seen an Alpaca mug for the camera?

Meagan’s favorite part of the fair was the horses–

“Easy on the hand, big fella. I’ve already got the other one in stitches!”

“Man, I wish we could test those cookies!”

Don’t forget the obligatory 850 lb pumpkin!

Probably the funniest part of our day was The Chicken Flying Contest. Here’s the scoop: the “contestant” is put in mailbox and then gently coaxed out the other end with (ahem) a plunger to see how far the bird will fly! The kids wait in the arena to try to catch ’em.

Overall we had a great day! We were very tired though, and someone just couldn’t wait to get to the truck to sack out–

Going…

Going…

Gone!
